The atmosphere really gelled with me, but the gsmeplay and combat was satisfying as well. I had a lot of fun with it and am happy I picked it up. I'd highly recommend checking it out, though. As such, progress can feel a bit slow at first, but you eventually reach a point where you start progressing pretty quickly. The core loop is really built around upgrading over generations and then progressing. If there is a downside, its that it's not like a traditional roguelike where you can feasibly beat it on your first run from a fresh save once you understand the mechanics. Trying to avoid spoilers, bit certain types of progress are shared between runs. You then spend the gold you earned in the previous run to op urchsse various upgrades. You basically make it as far as you can, collect gold, and when you die, pick one of three heirs to continue the legacy. You find journal entries that slowly unravel the journey of a previous explorer of the castle and its depths. The song along with the full moon you can see through the castle window, among other things, really brings home an eery vibe. The player is put into the Hokage class with 204 HP, 96 MP, given 2 Vault runes and given the Replacement Technique. Alexander IV's attack is the same as the original Alexander, he will stop to channel prior to releasing a beam of orbs in all four directions. Alexander IV will follow you around while spawning Fury and attacking. The rooms consist of four floating platforms with spikes outlining the entire stage. Alexander the IV's stage is divided into two rooms.
